FAQ

Where does the price data come from?

The price used in the game comes directly from the Bybit API and is streamed in real time via WebSocket.

Can the team control or modify the price feed?

No. The price data comes from an external exchange API. The team cannot control, modify, or influence the price movement used in the game.

How often does the price update?

The price updates in real time via a live WebSocket connection to Bybit. The chart re-renders every 75ms to reflect the latest market data.

Why can't I place blocks next to the current price?

The four grid cells closest to the current price are restricted. This prevents placing blocks too close to the price and keeps the game balanced and challenging.

What is the scoring system?

Blocks placed further ahead of the current price and further away from the current price level score more points. Both distance factors are combined — the further you predict, the higher the reward.

How does the leaderboard score work?

Your score is your raw points — no accuracy multiplier. If two players have the same score, the one with higher accuracy ranks higher.

How many blocks are available per game?

Each game provides 75 blocks to place on the chart.

What happens if the price misses my block?

If the price line does not pass through a block before it scrolls off the left edge of the chart, no points are awarded for that block.

How long does a game last?

Each game lasts a maximum of 5 minutes, or until all 75 blocks have been placed and resolved.

How does the 5 CC payment work?

Paying 5 CC gives you a bundle of 3 plays, not just 1. Use them in any order during the same day. Unused paid plays expire at UTC midnight — they do not roll over to the next day, so make sure to use them before the day ends.

Do promo codes give extra plays?

Yes — redeeming a valid promo code grants 3 free plays immediately. These plays must be used on the same day you redeem the code; any unused promo plays expire at UTC+2 midnight and do not carry over to the next day.

What happens if I disconnect or refresh mid-game?

If you refresh the page or lose your internet connection during a game, your session ends and that play is lost. There are no refunds for disconnections, so make sure you have a stable connection before starting.

What if the price feed disconnects?

If the price feed experiences a temporary interruption, the game will attempt to reconnect automatically so gameplay continues using accurate market data.

Can I remove or move a block after placing it?

No — once a block is placed it is final. Choose your position carefully before clicking.

Do unused paid plays carry over to the next day?

No — unused paid plays expire at UTC midnight and do not roll over to the next day. Make sure to use them before the day ends.

Does the game work on mobile?

Pulsar is designed for desktop only and is not supported on mobile devices yet. Please open the game on a computer for the best experience.
